Dr Paul Douglas

At Towson University I teach courses in Folklore and American Studies. I have published in such diverse areas as Baltimore's Painted Window Screens, American Communes, American Inventors, and the Fairy Tale Tradition. My most recent research involves the Parisian publisher Charles Carrington and a narrative of a French traveller in California in the 1870s, Louis Jacolliot. I have published in the Smithsonan Journal of History, the National Geographic, The Journal of the American Folklore Association and the College English Journal.
