Ann Steiner

Ph.D., teaches in Comparative Literature at Lund University in Sweden. Has written a book on Swedish book trade in the 1970s, In the Literary Mainstream: The Book-of-the-Month Club and Swedish Book Trade in the 1970s, mainly focusing on the consequences of a complete deregulation of the trade and the growth of subscription book clubs. Ongoing research on the impact of technology, and particularly the Internet, on literature. Also writing on an historical overview of the Swedish book trade between 1945 and 1970.
